Mum's Muesli - Super Lardy Old Recipe

This is the muesli we ate as kids -its insanely sweet, so only make it and consume it as you would cocoa pops. Its amazingly tasty though and great for camping or traveling.

5 cups rolled oats
1 cup coconut
1 cup bran
1 cup millet meal (comes in a box at supy - or skip if you cant find)
1 cup wheatgerm
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups sunflower seeds
1/2 cup sesame seeds

Mix together:
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 cup golden syrup
1/2 cup sunflower oil

and pour over dry ingredients, bake in a low oven for a few hours, turning and mixing, until reasonably dry and tasty. Add dried fruit/nuts or whatever you like.
